Nantyglo twice trailed by two goals in their Bute Energy Welsh Cup tie with Skewen before finishing five apiece and progressing on penalties.

Cardiff City remained at the top of the Genero Adran Premier on goal difference after both they and Wrexham secured comfortable away victories.

Cardiff City handed Pontypridd their seventh successive defeat, powered by a Laura Curock hat-trick. Madison Lloyd managed to pull one back to make it 2-1, while Eve Jenkins, Megan Bowen, Hannah Power and Amy Long each added a goal for the Bluebirds.

Wrexham’s Katie Barker set up first-half goals at Aberystwyth for Rosie Hughes, Lili Mai Jones, and Jess Bartle before scoring two goals of her own following the restart.

Swansea City defeated Briton Ferry 6-1 to remain just a point off the top two, with Aimee Deacon scoring four goals and Llansawel’s Brooke Llewellyn sent off late in the first half. Chloe Chivers netted Swansea’s other two goals, while Jade Crofts scored for the visitors.

The New Saints held off a Barry Town fightback after taking a 3-0 lead through Lia Lewis, Zara Gibbs, and Charlotte Crees. Ellie Preece and substitute Amelia Herbert responded soon after the interval, but Kayleigh Baker secured a fourth for the Saints.

Ffion Bailey’s stoppage-time equaliser was the third time Nantyglo came from behind to finish 5-5, before edging Skewen in the shoot-out.

Porth Harlequins also defeated North Cardiff Cosmos 3-2 on penalties but after the match ended in a 0-0 stalemate.

Goytre’s Laure Daiels got three of their five goals at Llwydcoed, Nanci Brown bagged a brace as Wattsville beat Rogerstone.
