The USA Women defeated Portugal on their second attempt, with an Olivia Moultrie early brace leading the way in the friendly international.

Portugal had beaten the US for the first time ever in midweek – even though they conceded 33 seconds into the match – and they were behind again with only 44 seconds played this time as Moultrie scored.

Jéssica Silva headed in the equalizer from a Beatriz Fonseca cross but Moultrie secured her brace just 10 minutes in, with Lily Yohannes’ ball backheeled to her by Jaedyn Shaw.

Sam Coffey added a late third shortly after coming off the bench, turning in from Ally Sentnor’s corner.

Mexico beat New Zealand 2-0 with goals in the first 16 minutes from Diana Ordoñez and María Sánchez.

Ukraine won 2-1 in Slovakia, where all the goals and a red card for the hosts occurred in the first half.

Hong Kong’s 5-0 victory over Malaysia featured a hat-trick for Hong Kiu Anke Leong, in the first 50 minutes.

There were three goals also for Andorra’s Tere Morato during the 3-1 win over Gibraltar, and US Virgin Islands’ Brianna Brudy in the first of two big scorelines against British Virgin islands (8-0 & 6-0).

Singapore 0-1 Saudi Arabia
