FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifying match day 4 featured a draw for the Dutch away to France, with 10-player Germany goalless in Austria.
League A
Group 1 – Sweden 1-0 Serbia, Denmark 0-0 Italy
Group 2 – France 1-1 Netherlands, Republic of Ireland 1-0 Poland
Group 3 – Spain 5-0 Ukraine, Iceland 0-1 England
Group 4 – Austria 0-0 Germany, Slovenia 2-3 Norway
Stina Blackstenius scored early in the second half as Sweden edged Serbia. Denmark and Italy played out a goalless draw.
The Netherlands followed up their home victory over France with a 1-1 draw away, where Wieke Kaptein cancelled out the opener from Marie-Antoinette Katoto. The Republic of Ireland edged past Poland with a Marissa Sheva goal to move within a point of the French.
Alessia Russo fired England to victory in Iceland, keeping them three points clear of Spain, whose Edna Imade scored two minutes into each half against Ukraine, with María Méndez, Eva Navarro, and Vicky López also finding the net after the break.
Germany’s Janina Minge was shown a red card as Austria got off the mark with a 0-0 draw, while Signe Gaupset scored a dramatic added-time winner for Norway in Slovakia as they gained ground on the Germans.
League B
Group 1 – Albania 0-1 Wales, Montenegro 1-4 Czechia
Group 2 – Türki̇ye 1-1 Switzerland, Malta 2-4 Northern Ireland
Group 3 – Slovakia 1-2 Portugal, Latvia 0-1 Finland
Group 4 – Belgium 0-0 Scotland, Luxembourg 1-3 Israel
Montenegro pegged back Czechia at 1-1 but ended up losing 4-1, Rhiannon Roberts scored the only goal as Wales claimed victory in Albania.
Türkiye held group leaders Switzerland after a 79th-minute equaliser, while Northern Ireland won away to Malta despite a red card.
Portugal responded to an early deficit to win 2-1 in Slovakia as Carolina Santiago and Kika Nazareth scored before the break. Lotta Lindström headed Finland to victory in Latvia.
Belgium stay just short of leaders Scotland, with whom they drew 0-0, while Israel had to come from behind to win in Luxembourg.
League C
Group 1 – Estonia 2-1 Lithuania, Liechtenstein 0-6 Bosnia and Herzegovina
Group 2 – Croatia 9-0 Gibraltar, Kosovo 2-1 Bulgaria
Group 3 – Hungary 7-0 North Macedonia, Azerbaijan 2-0 Andorra
Group 4 – Faroe Islands 1-0 Georgia
Group 5 – Romania 3-0 Cyprus
Group 6 – Belarus 0-1 Kazakhstan
Lisette Tammik scored a stoppage-time winner for Estonia over Lithuania, Milena Nikolic netted a 30-minute hat-trick for Bosnia and Herzegovina against Liechtenstein.
Erëleta Memeti completed Kosovo’s turnaround against Bulgaria in stoppage time, while Croatia thrashed Gibraltar.
Faroe Islands made a 90th-minute breakthrough to take the points against Georgia.
Belarus had a player dismissed after just 11 minutes but held out until late on when Kazakhstan made a breakthrough.
