Harpenden Town’s Sophia Amanor grabbed the only goal at Watford Ladies Development to secure eighth place.

1 Central – Asfordby Amateurs’ title hopes took a hit on Tuesday as they were held to a 3-3 draw at Coalville Town, where their Heidi Elliott and Jessica West were shown red cards in added time. They responded with a stoppage-time Jessica West goal to beat Nottingham Trent University, who are effectively champions due to a much better goal difference with a game to go. Long Eaton United overcame Sherwood 9-2 aided by a Georgia Loveless treble, as they secured fourth spot.

1 North – Dronfield Town thrashed Cleethorpes Town 6-1, with Maia Taylor netting a hat-trick in a dozen second-half minutes. Belper Town put four past Lincoln United Development, as Alice Faulding and substitute Mia Carnelley shared the spoils.

Borough will be promoted as their last remaining title rivals, Saltdean United Development – who sank Steyning Town 7-2 with Mary-Anna Smith contributing a hat-trick – cannot go up to tier five as they are not a first team. Montpelier Villa’s Chloe Debaes also scord three times in a 5-2 victory at Sevenoaks Town.

NORTH EAST – Midweek Match to Determine Champions

Premier – Thornaby won 5-1 at Sunderland West End on Wednesday and beat Ponteland United 4-0 on Sunday to finish their fixtures in first place, but after a 4-0 victory at Alnwick Town, Bradford City only require a draw from their last match versus Harrogate Town at Horsfall Playing Fields on Wednesday 29 April to be champions. On Thursday, 30 April, Park View will play Rutherford at Riverside Sports Pavilion, and Redcar will host Hartlepool at Mo Mowlam Memorial Park.

1 South – Leeds Modernians cruised to a 7-1 win over York City Development on Thursday, helped by a hat-trick from Aimee Myers, and followed that up with Bethan Barkley scoring the only goal at Altofts as they moved within a win of the title. League Cup Final – AFC Portchester lifted the cup at Reading Town FC, pipping Wycombe Wanderers 3-1 on penalties after a goalless deadlock.

Chairman’s Cup Final – Denham United’s two first-half goals led to cup joy, with Oxford City only able to pull one back after the break.

Shield Services Group SOUTH WEST – Torquay Two Points from Securing Top Spot

Premier – Torquay United are a couple of points away from sealing the title after a 5-2 defeat of Gloucester City, but Forest Green Rovers kept their hopes alive with a 6-1 beating of Pucklechurch Sports and must also win against AEK Boco at Greenbank Recreation Ground on Tuesday, April 28. AEK Boco’s Jodie Hooper scored the sole goal at Bishops Lydeard to put her side fourth, while Lauren Kelly netted three of Poole Town’s five at Saltash United.

1 North – Royal Wootton Bassett Town scored the only goal through Victoria Taylor at Bitton in a title-chasing ‘six-pointer’ on Wednesday, as Corsham Town put five past hosts Cirencester Town, and Whitchurch matched that at Bath City. Solihull prepared for that with a 5-1 win at Alvechurch, while Shifnal Town edged Hednesford Town 1-0 but have to win all their remaining seven games and add 25 in goal difference to overhaul the top team.

1 North – Chasetown effectively claimed third spot with a 6-0 victory over Rugby Town, while Walsall won at Newcastle Town thanks to a Sophie Rowlands goal.

1 South – Knowle’s 3-2 win over Halesowen Town, helped by a Florence Hobbs brace, leaves them needing just one point from three matches to claim the title. Droitwich Spa triumphed by the same score at Kingfisher, aided by an Ameerah Ishola double, but now only have a mathematical chance of being champions. Leamington’s hopes were dashed as they shut down Crusaders too, beating them 2-1. Long Itchington edged Hereford Pegasus with a Sarah Smith goal, while Redditch United beat Bromsgrove Sporting 4-1.
