
Liverpool Women secured their first away victory of the WSL season in the Merseyside derby, Manchester City won at Old Trafford.

Liverpool moved eight points clear of danger as they just managed to hold off a fightback by Everton at Goodison Park.
Liverpool were two goals up inside 20 minutes at Everton, with Ceri Holland converting a penalty after a handball decision against Inma Gabarro, and an Alejandra Bernabé cross deflecting off Martina Fernández past goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan.
Holland ran from her own half and fired into the far top corner to give the Reds a 3-0 half-time advantage.
Aurora Galli’s free kick deflected off the Liverpool wall, sending keeper Jennifer Falk the wrong way as the ball found the back of the net, and moments later Reds’ captain Grace Fisk was shown a second yellow card.
Everton’s Zara Kramzar hit the crossbar, but during added time did find the back of the net to reduce the deficit to one.

Manchester City moved out of reach of Manchester United at the top of the WSL table, over whom they now have an 11-point lead.
City’s Vivianne Miedema headed home twice in quick succession inside 20 minutes, first from an Alex Greenwood corner and then from a Kerstin Casparij cross.
Lauren Hemp hit the bar and City had a goal disallowed during a dominant first half.
It was 3-0 early in the second half, as Hemp’s cross was turned in by Casparij arriving at the far post.

Alessia Russo scored a hat-trick in the first half-hour as Arsenal beat Spurs to go second on goal difference.
Katie McCabe’s corner led to Russo’s first goal, and Olivia Smith played her through for the second after only seven minutes.
Spurs pulled one back with a Frida Maanum own goal, but Russo then completed her treble.
Caitlin Foord buried the ball from a Smilla Holmberg cross after the hour mark, Beth England was set up by Matilda Vinberg to rifle home Tottenham’s second goal.
Stina Blackstenius broke free to slot home the Gunners’ fifth goal in added time.
