Sheffield United 2-1 Portsmouth

Ipswich Town were defeated by a 96th-minute goal from Southampton at Portman Road.

Mary Bashford put the Saints in front after just three minutes, but Ipswich levelled when Lucy Ashworth-Clifford finished off a ball from Sophie Peskett.

Rachel Brown scored the winner deep into stoppage time, as the mid-table Saints left their hosts still on goal difference of the bottom of the table.

Sheffield United narrowly took the points against 10-player Portsmouth to move four points clear of danger, with Pompey remaining in last place.

Joy Ralph scored for Sheffield in the first half, and after the hour mark, it was 2-0 thanks to an own goal by Hannah Coan.

Portsmouth were down to 10 players shortly afterwards with Izzy Collins receiving a second caution.

But Pompey did have some late hope as Meg Hornby pulled a goal back with five minutes of the 90 left.
