The runners-up spot in the Barclays Women’s Super League will be determined on the last match day, with Arsenal currently ahead of Chelsea.
Arsenal’s stoppage-time winner against Everton in midweek crucially moved them above Chelsea by two points and with a much better goal difference.
It means that Renee Slegers’ side will finish second and take an automatic place in the Champions League unless they lose to Liverpool at Anfield, with Sonia Bompastor’s team still requiring a victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge to avoid UWCL qualification rounds.
A draw against Spurs at the AMEX should be enough for Brighton to finish in the top half, as they are two points ahead of London City and have a goal difference eight better than the Lionesses.
Villa are one of four sides hoping to secure eighth place but are six goals short of Everton, who travel to Leicester City.
West Ham are a point behind both Villa and the Toffees but face champions Manchester City, while Liverpool must beat Arsenal to have a chance of improving upon next-to-bottom.
