Tranmere Rovers Development and Vauxhall Motors both completed Liverpool Women’s League doubles with cup final victories in midweek.

Tranmere Rovers Development only failed to win once as they topped the Premier Division by an eight-point margin over FC Northern, with Alder a further three points back in third.

Rovers’ success came at the first attempt after winning Division 1 last season with a 100% record.

St Michaels DHFC were Division 1 champions this term, unbeaten as they finished 11 points clear of FC Community of Liverpool, while Burscough missed out on the runners-up spot by a single point.

Vauxhall Motors collected 52 points from a possible 54 to clinch top spot in Division 2 but still finished only three points ahead of Vulcan UDA.

West Kirby United took the third promotion place by eight points from MSB Woolton FC Women Reserves.

Tranmere edged past FC Northern 2-1 on penalties after a 2-2 deadlock in the Gold Cup Final on 27 May, while Vauxhall Motors scored the only goal against Vulcan UDA to lift the Silver Cup.
