Nottingham Forest Women sign midfielder Tove Almqvist on a three-year deal from Swedish side Djurgården.

She has also played for Linköpings and Vittsjö GIK, winning the Damallsvenskan twice as well as the Swedish League Cup a couple of times.

Head Coach, Carly Davies, told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “We’re delighted to welcome Tove to Nottingham Forest.

“She’s an experienced player who has competed at the highest level in Sweden. Tove’s creativity and intelligence on the ball will add a new dimension to our play, and her winning mentality will be a huge asset to the squad.

“I’m really looking forward to working with her this season and supporting her on this next step in her football journey.”

Almqvist added: “I’m delighted to have signed for this historic club, which has exciting ambitions for the women’s team. I can’t wait to get going and I think I can add a lot to an already talented group.”
