
Sweden came storming back after an early deficit to defeat ten-player Germany and top UEFA Women’s EURO Group C.

Sweden 4-1 Germany
Poland 3-2 Denmark
Sweden had needed just a draw to win the group ahead of Germany and did so after a dramatic first half.
Lea Schuller played in Jule Brand for the opener but Kosovare Asllani found Stina Blackstenius to score a quick equaliser.
Smila Holmberg had the Swedes ahead when Sarai Linder’s challenge on her saw the ball ricochet over keeper Ann-Karrin Berger.
With 35 minutes played, Germany were 3-1 and a player down, Carlotta Wamser shown a red card for handball on the line and new centurion Fridolina Rolfo converting from the spot.
It was 4-1 with ten minutes left, Lina Hurtig tapping in as Madelen Janogy’s cross was knocked back into the six-yard box by Johanna Rytting Kaneryd.

Poland got off the mark against Denmark to take third spot in the table, with their first victory in a major tournament.
Ewelina Kamczyk’s shot was parried by Danish keeper Maja Ostergaard but Natalia Padilla-Bidas netted the rebound.
Padilla-Bidas then turned provider for Ewa Pajor, who exchanged passed with her before doubling the lead.
An error from Poland keeper Kinga Szemik led to Janni Thomsen pulling a goal back and Denmark thought they had an equaliser through Nadia Nadim but she had been offside.
Martyna Wiankowska then restored the two-goal lead inside the last 15 minutes, Signe Bruun later heading in Denmark’s second.
