Spartans make a swift return to the top flight as SWPL 2 champions, while Hearts secured a top-two finish in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League.

Hearts would have sealed the title today with a win, but now they’ll need to beat Edinburgh rivals Hibernian away next Sunday in the final game to be sure of becoming champions. But the goalless game with Glasgow City secured Hearts a Champions League place and confirmed City would miss out on a spot in Europe.
Rangers beat Celtic 4-0 to stay in the hunt and are just two points behind the leaders going into their last match at Glasgow City. Katie Wilkinson bagged a first-half brace for Rangers, the first from the spot before Laura Berry set up the second in added time. Kim Shin-Ji provided the assist for Berry to score straight after the restart, and Mia McAulay made it 4-0 late on.
Hibernian are within three points of Glasgow City following a 3-1 victory at Partick Thistle, with Eilidh Adams’ penalty complemented by goals from Hannah Jordan and Tegan Bowie by the break.
Motherwell’s late leveller against Aberdeen for a 2-2 draw saw them finish top of the bottom four sides.
Kaela McDonald-Nguah scored a hat-trick and Sophia Martin contributed three assists as Montrose netted all five goals at Hamilton.

Spartans’ 2-0 victory over Dundee United saw them finish top by two points ahead of Kilmarnock, who went down by the same score at Queen’s Park.
Natalie Bandura opened the scoring at Ainslie Park, and Izzy Young doubled Spartans’ advantage.
Boroughmuir Thistle’s draw with Gartcairn was enough to secure them third spot, St Johnstone took eighth place with a win over East Fife in ninth, and Livingston hit relegated Stirling University for six.
