Southampton FC Women have signed Scotland youth international full-back Niamh Murphy.
The versatile defender, capable of playing on either flank, joins the club after four seasons with Blackburn Rovers.
She started her career at Manchester United before getting a taste of senior football with Rovers, first on loan and then securing a permanent move in 2023.
Murphy has already racked up over 50 appearances in the second tier, and after bouncing back from an ACL injury in 2025, she’s now making her way to the south coast for a reunion with former manager Simon Parker.
Murphy told southamptonfc.com: “It’s really exciting, I’ve really enjoyed my first week and I can’t wait to get going.
“I’ve worked with Simon [Parker] before and I like the way he manages his teams so I’m looking forward to being part of that again. I’m excited for the league to start and to get going again now.”
