Republic of Ireland Women won their World Cup Qualifying League A Group 2 match away to Poland 3-2.
Emily Murphy’s opener and a Katie McCabe strike from outside the box gave Carla Ward’s side a great start as they chased their first points of the campaign.
Tanja Pawollek pulled one back before half-time, but Marissa Sheva restored the two-goal advantage after the break.
Ewa Pajor set up a nervous finish with a 78th-minute goal, not helped by McCabe missing a penalty.
But Ireland claimed the victory and will play the same opponent in Dublin on Saturday.
