Nottingham Forest Women have signed Cerys Brown on a permanent two-year deal from London City Lionesses, following last season’s loan spell.
An England U23 international defender, who helped the U19s reach the semi-finals of the UEFA Women’s Championship in 2024, Brown played every minute of the final nine fixtures of Forest’s campaign.
She was also part of London City’s Championship-winning side and previously had a four-year spell with Chelsea.
Brown told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “I’m so happy to be here. Coming to Forest on loan was a great experience but it’s really exciting to be able to properly settle into the team.
“Putting on a Forest shirt to play for the club is a completely different feeling and to walk out at The City Ground in front of the supporters is really special, so I am buzzing to experience that again.”
Head Coach, Tom Mallinson said: “We are delighted Cerys will be joining us permanently after showing how important she can be with her time on loan at the Club last season.
“Cerys has strong ties to Forest and that passion translates to the pitch knowing what it means to wear the badge.
“She is a young player with fantastic potential and has already been exposed to elite environments, which shows on the pitch, and why she became a key member of the squad last season.“
