Man City Women Fightback for Victory London City Thrash Spurs

Man City Women came from behind to defeat Arsenal 4-2, while the London City Lionesses smashed Spurs 6-1.

Manchester City twice came from behind to beat Arsenal and make it six straight wins, while their visitors slipped to tenth in the table.

Man City’s Khadija Shaw had a goal ruled out for a foul on the keeper before Arsenal took the lead through Lisa Baum from Lotte Wubben-Moy’s header.

Laura Hemp’s deflected effort in first-half added time quickly brought City level, with the Gunners’ Mariona Caldentey down injured at the time ad consequently substituted.

Arsenal were back in front four minutes after the restart, Alessia Russo with a powerful finish after Yui Hasagawa lost possession.

Kerstin Casperij came off the bench for City and took just 65 seconds to find the far corner of the net from the side of the box.

Hemp doubled her tally for the day with a shot through the legs of goalkeeper Anneke Borbe, Shaw then securing the victory after a ball through by Aoba Fujino.

London City stunned Spurs, sending to a 6-1 home defeat.

Alexia Putellas put the Lionesses in front three minutes in after Grace Geyoro’s shot was saved by Lize Kop.

Lucia Corrales crossed for Kadidiatou Diani to double the advantage from close range, Putellas then got her second off a pull-back from Danielle van de Donk.

It was 4-0 with Diani finding Van de Donk to score, before Spurs replied as Julie Blakstad’s cross led to a Victoria Pelova goal.

Diani made it 5-1 by blocking Kop’s attempted clearance, Delphine Cascarino added number six.

Chelsea ran out 3-0 winners in a dominant performance away to West Ham.

They made the breakthrough seven minutes before the break, Melvine Malard turning to sweep the ball into the far bottom corner.

Keira Walsh was denied by the post but doubled the lead from the edge of the box with 10 minutes to go.

Chelsea had a late third when Maika Hamano had a free header at the far post.

Brighton overcame an early setback to put five goals past Charlton

Cassandra Korhonen put Charlton ahead on the second attempt after just three minutes, but from an Olivia Garcia pull-back Kiko Seike levelled the scores.

Garcia claimed her second assist in added time at the end of the first half, Fran Kirby this time with the finish.

Seike scored her second goal after Olaug Tvedten’s shot was blocked, Marisa Olislagers’ cross was turned in by Masie Symonds, before Gabby George made it 5-1 at the death.

Mace’s brace secures victory for Everton.

Everton’s Yuka Momiki hit the post and then set up Ruby Mace to find the far top corner.

But Birmingham quickly levelled as Oceane Hurtré ran into the box and finished clinically.

Mace regained the lead for the Toffees from a pass by Ornella Vignola, as they took all three points.

Crystal Palace earned a draw at Aston Villa with a long-range leveller.

Villa got the breakthrough just over an hour played, Chasity Grant crossing for Noelle Maritz to slot home.

Abbie Larkin struck the bottom corner from 30 yards to level the score at 1-1 with just over a quarter of an hour remaining.
