Julia Bartel Joins Atletico Madrid on loan from Chelsea Women

Chelsea Women’s Spanish youth international midfielder Julia Bartel has joined Atletico Madrid on a season-long loan.

Bartel joined the Blues from Barcelona last summer and made her Chelsea debut in October, twice appearing in the Champions League.

She went out on loan to Liverpool for the second half of the season, playing seven times in all competitions.

A winner at the 2022 U-20 World Cup and 2023 U-19 Euros, Bartel now returns home to Spain for a spell with Atletico, who finished third in the top flight last season.
