Germany Women defeated Australia, and Jamaica edged out Mexico in a seven-goal thriller during the International Friendlies on Friday 9 October.

Three late goals were scored as Germany defeated Australia 4-2.

Melissa Kössler’s quick brace put the hosts two up, but Sam Kerr pulled one back in first-half added time, heading home an Ellie Carpenter cross.

Camilla Küver nodded in a Linda Dallmann corner, and although the Matildas cut it to 3-2 in stoppage time through Holly McNamara from a Caitlin Foord through ball, Sjoeke Nüsken quickly responded for Germany.

Japan scored three times in the space of a dozen first-half minutes on their way to a 5-1 victory over Haiti.

Kiko Seike scored the opener, Maika Hamano finished a chance with help from Hinata Miyazawa, and Yui Hasegawa made it 3-0 with an assist from Momoko Tanikawa.

Batcheba Louis pulled one back just before the break from a cross by Nerilia Mondesir, but Remina Chiba and Maya Hijikata each added a goal for Japan.

Jamaica came out on top in a seven-goal thriller against Mexico.

The Reggae Girlz took a 2-0 lead as Paige Bailey-Gayle set up Jody Brown to score, and Khadija Shaw netted with Drew Spence providing the assist.

Jacqueline Ovalle hit back with a free kick, but Shaw was fouled in the box by Rebeca Bernal and Deneisha Blackwood converted the penalty.

Bernal made up for her foul by heading in Alice Soto’s corner to reduce the arrears to 3-2 at halftime.

Solai Washington restored the two-goal cushion in the 90th minute, and Charlyn Corral got Mexico’s third from outside the box deep into stoppage time.

Canada claimed a 1-1 draw with Denmark, scoring with just six minutes left of the 90.

The Danes struck on the break when Amalie Vangsgaard picked out Pernille Harder to open the scoring.

The lead lasted an hour until Olivia Smith fired Canada level from a pass by Julia Grosso, with the hosts going on to win a shoot-out 4-2.

Moroccan super-sub Ibtissam Jraïdi scored a 14-minute hat-trick.

Morocco were trailing at home to Uzbekistan until the introduction of Jraïdi, who equalised after the hour mark and went on to secure her country a 3-1 victory.#
