Bristol City Women won 4-2 at Nottingham Forest in the day’s only Barclays WSL 2 match to survive the weather conditions.
Bristol City struck twice in the opening 10 minutes at the City Ground, with Lexi Lloyd-Smith forcing an own goal from Ebba Hed and Mari Ward netting from outside the box with the help of a deflection.
Deanne Rose scored after being set up by Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, following a well-placed ball over the top from Chloe Mustaki.
The two-goal cushion was restored at the hour mark when Emily Syme struck the bar from distance, and Rio Hardy was there to slot in the rebound.
Sophie Ingle’s ball over the top into the path of Jessie Gale, saw the Arsenal loanee score on her Bristol debut.
Boye-Hlorkah scored Forest’s second goal but with just five minutes of the 90 left, as they stay goal difference off the top six, while the Robins go level on points with second-placed Birmingham City, but from one game more.
