Everton Women have signed England international Ruby Mace from Leicester City on a three-year contract for a club-record fee.

The defensive midfielder, who can also operate in central defence, has also played for Arsenal and Manchester City, while progressing through the England development teams to make her senior debut in December 2024.

Mace told evertontv: “I feel so at home here, the girls are lovely. Everyone is just backing everyone and I just can’t wait to get started on the pitch.

“I said to my parents when I first heard about Everton, how the owners making Goodison the Women’s new home shows just how much they are backing the team. It means so much to everyone.”

Manager Brian Sorensen told evertonfc.com: “I am delighted to have signed Ruby. She is a top talent and was rewarded for her brilliant form at Leicester with a call-up and debut for England.

“Ruby is a very humble character and will be very popular with her new teammates. She has told me how excited she is to play in front of our fans at Goodison Park and make history at our new home.”
