Sheffield United Women have signed experienced goalkeeper Charlotte Parker-Smith who joins after six years at Hearts.
Previously of Hibernian, Parker-Smith was part of a transition which saw Hearts become full-time and become a top end challenger in the Scottish game, playing in the Scottish Cup final and helping the team to its highest ever finish in the SWPL.
Parker-Smith said: “I’m really pleased. I’ve been up in Scotland now for my whole career until now, so this is an exciting change for me. I’ve heard this league is very competitive and that will be exciting for me to play in as a goalkeeper.”
Lead Goalkeeper Coach Carl Kennedy commented: “We’re delighted to have Charlotte join us at Sheffield United. She brings a wealth of experience and a fresh perspective to the environment from her time in Scotland.
“Charlotte provides new competition to the goalkeeping department, challenging for the position while providing a great example for our new PGA goalkeepers to learn from.”
