Dryburgh Athletic eliminated ScottishPower Women’s National League Cup holders Bonnyrigg Rose to avenge last season’s final defeat.

Bonnyrigg went ahead three times against visitors Dryburgh but the Dundee side equalised thrice, Hannah Dishington scoring with three minutes of regulation time remaining to send the tie into the extra half-hour.

It was deep into the second half of that before Megan Robb scored a fourth for Dryburgh, only for Bonnyrigg to equalise straight away through McGurk, then Layla Dailly hit a late fifth to send the holders out.

St Mirren are among the sides that have secured a place in this week’s Quarter-Final draw, after knocking out Championship side Forfar Farmington in Angus.

The Buddies went ahead via a Sandra Craig header, who then turned provider for Casey Canning to double their lead. But Forfar fought back, Alex Fox pulling one back before half time and coming out the traps early in the second half. But Emma Russel was lively in the Saints’ goal before Canning pounced from a Praise Adebo assist for her brace to restore the two-goal cushion and send her side through.

A Frankie Fern hat-trick helped current Barclays League One leaders Bishopton also book their place in the next round with a comfortable 5-1 win against Giffnock Soccer Centre.

Stenhousemuir won by the same scoreline at East Fife, while 2025 winners Stirling University came away from Dumfries with a narrow 2-1 win against Queen of the South.

League One Edinburgh South gave Elgin City a scare, going two ahead within ten minutes, but the Moray side clawed it back level at half time before Mia Lundberg scored a second half hat-trick amid a goal flurry to finish the game 7-2 to the home side.

Morton scored three goals in extra time after a goalless 90 minutes against Inverness Caledonian Thistle. Former Buckie goalkeeper Sophia Golebowski had frustrated the visitors on her debut for Caley Thistle, but quickfire goals from substitute Eilidh Drain, Kara Chalmers and Brooke Taylor ensured Morton’s recent good form continued.

In the second round of the regional SWFL divisions, Musselburgh Windsor beat SWFL East title rivals Edinburgh Uni Thistle 6-0 to go top and Dalkeith Thistle kept pace after beating Bayside 6-2 to make it two wins in two.

A 2-2 draw with Murieston was enough for Cumbernauld Colts to edge to the top of Central/West, while in SWFL North Grampian went top with a 6-0 win at Dundee East and Ross County beat Buckie Ladies 10-0.

Harmony Row are top of SWFL South on goal difference after beating Dalbeattie Star 9-1.
