Brighton Women came from behind to defeat Barclays WSL champions elect Manchester City 3-2.
Manchester City were ahead inside five minutes when Brighton failed to clear the ball any further than Kerolin, whose deflected shot looped over goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.
Both sides went close with less than 10 minutes played, as Khadija Shaw hit the post for City and Fran Kirby was denied at close range by Ayaka Yamashita.
Kerolin broke through on goal late in the half but was denied by Nnadozie, before Kirby’s lay-off set up Maddison Haley to equalise just before the break.
Less than two minutes after the restart, Brighton had turned the match around, Kirby putting Kiko Seike in to fire home high inside the near post.
Haley doubled her tally on the second attempt, heading in after the ball popped up from Nnadozie’s initial save.
Shaw reduced the deficit to two in the last five minutes of the 90 after a ball from Iman Beney but Albion ended a poor run of earning just one point from the last four games.
