Bayern Munich edged past Man Utd 3-2 at Old Trafford in the UEFA Women’s Champions League Quarter-Finals first leg, while Barcelona opened up a commanding lead over Real Madrid.
Manchester United twice got back on level terms against Bayern but lost to a late goal ahead of meeting again at the Allianz Arena on 1 April.
Pernille Harder scored in just the second minute, and Maya Le Tissier equalised from the spot after a handball in the box.
Harder restored Bayern’s lead, and although Hanna Lundkvist made it 2-2 with a header, Momoko Tanikawa grabbed the winner from the edge of the area.

Barcelona were two up in 13 minutes through Ewa Pajor and an Esmee Brugts header from a Vicky López cross.
Linda Caicedo replied for Real Madrid but very soon afterwards, Irene Paredes nodded home via Clàudia Pina’s corner.
Pajor got her second and Vicky López scored to put Barca 5-1 up in the second half, with Caicedo firing home from outside the box to also double her tally for Madrid.
After Caroline Graham Hansen was brought down in the box, Alexia Putellas converted the late penalty for a 6-2 result.
