
Atletico London and Southampton Women’s FC both hit top spots of the Regional League Premier Divisions.
EASTERN – Atletico Chase Second Win in 54 Hours
Premier – Atletico London’s 3-0 victory over Histon saw them knock Royston Town off the top of the table, and they play again on Tuesday, 6 October, against Haringey Borough at Redbridge FC. Basement side St Albans City claimed their first points at the seventh attempt as a Scarlett Robb brace brought them a 2-1 success at Brentwood Town.
1 North – Luton Town Development’s sixth win in seven came with a 2-0 victory at Newmarket Town, while Real Bedford Development pulled off a 3-2 win at Costessey Sports to leapfrog them into second place. Cambridge City’s Jessica Wood bagged a hat-trick in their 10-1 result at Thetford Town, lifting them to third. Stevenage Reserves edged Ampthill Town 3-2 away, with the decider coming from substitute Demi Hall. Elsewhere, Dunstable defeated Needham Market 4-1 to move above them into seventh position.
1 South – Toby held leaders Hertford Town to a 1-1 draw, while Wormley Rovers substitute Jessica Ronan-Cooper scored in a 3-2 victory over AFC Sudbury Reserves. AFC Welwyn netted three times without reply against Leyton Orient, and Southend United beat Hutton 2-0.
EAST MIDLANDS – Handsworth Sting Leaders
Premier – Newport Pagnell Town rose to third place with all five goals at Gainsborough Trinity, three of them by Sian Morris.
1 Central – University of Nottingham stayed top with an Ede Buchele goal away at Sherwood. Asfordby Amateurs beat Coalville Town 4-2 helped by Thea Duncan’s 10-minute double, Long Eaton United’s Emma Scoffham scored the winner in a 3-2 game against Melbourne Dynamo, who had Stephanie Donoghue sent off.
1 North – Handsworth shocked leaders Belper Town 5-0 at home, as Abby Watkinson netted four goals. Arnold Eagles beat Notts County Development 3-0, with Natasha Leach scoring twice. Staveley Miners Welfare took the points 3-1 at Chesterfield CT, Hucknall Town shared eight goals with Dronfield Town.
1 South – Thrapston’s Emily Slough scored both goals against Northampton Town Development, while Stanground Cardea Sports’ Shaima Ntambiye struck twice in a 3-1 win at Dunton & Broughton United. Wellingborough Town also came out on top, netting four second-half goals at Higham Town.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Dorking Jump Six Places
Premier – Dorking Wanderers jumped six places to fifth after a 3-1 win at Aylesford. Ashford Town climbed five spots to fourth following a 4-1 victory at Eastbourne Borough.
1 North – It was 3-3 as Maidstone United dropped their first points against top side Dulwich Hamlet Reserves. Actonians Reserves’ Carly Jackson netted all three goals in the 3-0 win at Carshalton Athletic. AFC Greenwich Borough lost out 2-1 to visitors Herne Bay and a Kate Foster winner. Clapton CFC beat Sport London E Benfica 3-1, helped by an Emily-Jayne Link double, and Ebbsfleet United’s first points came with a 3-0 win at Hackney.
1 South – Leatherhead drew 3-3 with leaders Saltdean United Development, while Hastings United got off the mark with a 3-2 victory at second-placed Ashmount Leigh. Steyning Town edged past Sevenoaks Town 2-1, with Lauren Tyler scoring their crucial second goal, and Montpelier Villa defeated Dorking Wanderers B Team 3-0. Midweek fixtures – Weds 7 October: Ashford Utd vs Sevenoaks. Thurs 8 October: Saltdean vs Montpelier at Hill Park Stadium, and Dorking vs Ashmount at Meadowbank.
NORTH EAST – Rossington Win Despite Red Card
Premier – Birtley Town made it four straight wins with a 5-1 result over Ponteland United, as they extended their lead at the top.

1 North – Park View beat Gateshead Rutherford 3-1 for their fifth win on the trot, while Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves matched that by defeating Gateshead Leam Rangers 4-1. Hartlepool United’s Erin Bates bagged a brace in a 3-3 tie with Boldon, whose Megan Gibson scored an 86th-minute goal. North Shields Athletic overcame Sunderland West End 5-2, and Redcar Town suffered a 3-1 loss to Washington.
1 South – Jodie Lea’s treble for Evolution was in vain as top team Thackley left 4-3 victors after Molly Ellis’s goal proved decisive. FC Farsley overcame Bottesford Town in the second half for a 10-3 score in which Shirley Murphy claimed a hat-trick. Rossington Main beat Lower Hopton 2-1 with a Lauren Breen brace despite a red card for Aleisha Howard. Sheffield Wednesday got the better of York City Development 2-1 thanks to Amy Broomhead’s double, and Knaresborough Town defeated Cleethorpes Town 4-0.
NORTH WEST – Tranmere Complete Fightback with Dodd Hat-Trick
Premier – West Didsbury & Chorlton climbed three places to third as Zoe Anderson’s 10th-minute goal was enough for victory at Poulton Vics.
1 Central – Wythenshawe Town ended Rochdale’s five-game winning streak with a 3-2 defeat, as Lauren Crawford’s second goal proved to be the decider. Wigan Athletic Ladies thrashed Stockport County Ladies 9-2, with Molly Hassall contributing a hat-trick. Atherton Laburnum Rovers drew 2-2 with Altrincham.
1 North – Haslingden scored a 9-1 win against Fleetwood Town Wrens, with Grace Mills bagging a hat-trick. Bolton Wanderers Reserves took a 4-0 victory at Morecambe, while Penrith beat Blackpool 4-1. Blackburn CSC were trailing 5-1 to Accrington Stanley when a serious injury left them unwilling to continue.
1 South – Chester extended their perfect run to six games with a 5-1 win at Warrington Town. Wirral United’s Rebecca Tebb found the net three times in a 5-3 victory at West Didsbury & Chorlton Reserves, their fifth in a row. Tranmere Rovers Development came from two goals down to beat MSB Woolton 3-2, thanks to Amber Dodd’s 23-minute hat-trick.
SOUTHERN – Sholing’s Bache Smashes a 17-minute Treble
Premier – Southampton Women replaced Fareham Town at the top with all three goals at Fleet Town. Sholing went one goal better at Beaconsfield Town, where substitute Zoe Bache smashed a 17-minute treble.
1 North – Barton United held the leadership with a 2-0 victory over Chesham United Development, while Finchampstead stayed level on points after a 6-3 defeat of Oxford City Development, in which Lauren Smaje notched a hat-trick. Farnborough claimed a 4-2 win over Penn & Tylers Green, and Slough Town’s Nikhita Sangha scored the only goal at Badshot Lea.
1 South – Havant & Waterlooville hit Whitchurch United 5-0 for their third win in a row, Millbrook beat AFC Portchester Reserves 3-1, and Guernsey had seven different scorers in their 10-2 victory at Bursledon.
League Cup 1st Round – Abingdon United Development progressed by the odd goal in five against Woodley United.
SOUTH WEST – Marjon Takeover at the Top
Premier – AEK Boco beat Gloucester City 4-2, aided by a Megan Bloomer brace, to go level on points with leaders Portishead. Similarly, Poole Town secured a 5-2 win at B2A Women to go within difference of the top team.
1 Central – Keynsham Town Ladies lead the table after a 1-0 victory over Portishead Reserves, with Olivia Bees on target, while Weston-super-Mare were held 1-1 by Paulton Rovers. Stockwood Wanderers’ 4-1 result against Brislington featured a Maddison Stadden hat-trick, and Bath City won 2-1 at Wells City.
1 North – Hartpury have won their opening four games after a 2-0 defeat of Downend Flyers. It finished in a 1-1 tie between Cirencester Town and Bristol Brunel, as well as Gloucester City Reserves versus FC Abbey Meads.
1 South – Plymouth Marjon leapfrogged Bridgwater United Reserves into pole position after beating them 2-1 away. Ridgeway’s Chloe Oldrid scored twice for a 2-1 win over Bishops Lydeard, while Newquay drew 2-2 with Sticker, whose Chloe Harris bagged a brace.
WEST MIDLANDS – Halesowen Net Nine for Fifth Straight Win
Premier – Shifnal Town climbed to second place with a 6-3 win, watched by an attendance of 156 at Stourbridge. Leek Town drew 1-1 with Knowle, whose Grace Evans levelled in the same minute that Demi Booth was sent off. Coundon Court beat Lichfield City 4-2, helped by a Sophie Shale double.
1 North – Chasetown’s Lydia Cope scored three goals in a 5-2 win at Rugby Town that lifted them to second place. Lane Head’s Mia Benton netted a hat-trick before the break for a 3-0 win at AFC Telford United. Burton Albion drew 3-3 with Whitchurch Alport, while Telford Town versus Shrewsbury Up & Comers was abandoned.
1 South – Halesowen Town smashed nine past Dudley Town for a fifth win in five, with Imogen Butler and Bethney Taylor scoring three apiece. Crusaders’ Danielle Selmes bagged three goals in a 4-2 win at Worcester City Under-21s, while Redditch United beat Bromsgrove Sporting 4-0 and Evesham United saw off Hereford FC 3-1.
