Liverpool Women have completed the signing of Norway forward Anna Josendal from Hammarby IF.

Origially with Avaldsnes IL she moved to Rosenborg and in 2023, won the Norwegian Women’s Cup, and was named Toppserien Player of the Year after registering 17 goal involvements (eight goals, nine assists) from her 24 top-flight outings.

Josendal has spent the past two campaigns in Sweden with Hammarby, where she was on the scoresheet 12 times in all competitions.

She has represented Norway’s senior team since June 2022 and appeared at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Josendal told Liverpoolfc.com: “It feels amazing to be here. This has been my dream since I was a little kid – Liverpool has always been my favourite team and my whole family is supporting them as well, so it’s big for me.

“I spoke a lot with Gareth [Taylor] and Andy [O’Boyle] and that felt so good, and also to play in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the best league in Europe, is something I really look forward to.

“To play for this shirt is going to be so special, so I can’t wait to get started.”
