Among the title favourites in the Wales women’s regional league are; Clarbeston Road, Colwyn Bay, Haverfordwest County, Llangefni Town, Llanrumney United, North Cardiff Cosmos and Wrexham Foresters.
With the season at the midway point for many and during a break for the festivities, we take a look across the lower leagues, from where teams can climb the pyramid into the Genero Adran North or South divisions, Wales’ second tier.
Llantwit Fardre and Llanystumdwy were two of the four lower-ranked sides to reach the Bute Energy Welsh Cup last 16, with Trefelin and Wrexham Foresters still to play their ties in the new year.
Meanwhile, Llangefni Town had several meetings with tier-two teams after receiving a wildcard entry into the Adran Trophy Group Stage.
Central Wales North League
Ten teams make up the league table and it is Wrexham Foresters who sit top of the pile with seven wins in a row. They are pursued by Northop Hall, Airbus UK Broughton and Tregaron Turfs, all of whom who have dropped three points.
North East Wales Development League
Cei Connah lead the five-team table with five wins from five games, six points ahead of Coedpoeth United. Stacy Harrison has been prolific in front of goal for the leaders, standing well clear as the top scorer with 18 goals.
North Wales Coast FA League
It is shaping up to be a two-horse race for the title in the nine-team Llandudno Kia League, with Llangefni Town leading the way after winning all nine games so far and conceding only three goals. Kinmel Bay are their challengers, but their momentum took a hit with a 3-0 home loss to the leaders.
Top of the 10-club Recreational table is Colwyn Bay, who have defeated all opposition so far in their eight fixtures. Eglwysbach Queen Bees have yet to lose but are a little off the pace having drawn three times, similarly Penmaenmawr Phoenix Blues but with the added issue of one loss.
Pembrokeshire League
Clarbeston Road have reached the halfway point with wins over all the other four sides in the league. They sit top by six points with St Dogmaels their closest rivals for first place.
Perago West Wales League
Haverfordwest County have won all their games so far in Division 1, leading the table by six points over Mumbles Rangers, who have played a game more. County began with a 5-1 victory against Rangers, with Kayla Jones scoring a hat-trick. Talycopa are six points behind Mumbles, but with three games in hand in the nine-strong section.

Resloven are top of Division 2 but have had two points deducted to leave them one ahead of Cwmamman United, who have two fewer games to go. Rockspur are much better placed for a challenge and still boast a 100% record with several games in hand in the ten-team division.
South Wales League
Llanrumney United are on course to win the Combined League, the third-tier feeder to the Genero Adran Leagues South. They have taken maximum points from 11 games in the 12-team competition, but Trefelin, Cambrian United, and even Ammanford could still apply pressure with multiple matches to make up.

Division 1’s leading four sides are only separated by two points, with Cardiff Wanderers in pole position, but Barry Town United Linnets in fourth with seven straight wins and a plentiful four games in hand to overtake those above them. That includes Undy AFC and Talgarth Town in a table of 14 teams. Nantyglo are playing catch up down in 10th place but their Alana Murphy has netted an extraordinary 24 goals in three league games, even with having been red-carded in one of them.
Division 2 is also packed with 14 clubs, currently led by North Cardiff Cosmos, boasting a perfect record from eight matches. Llangynwyd Rangers are just a couple of points behind from two more games, with AFC Llwydcoed in a similar position.

A further 14 teams make up the Division 3 ranks, with the top two separated only by goal difference. Graig Villa Dino have scored over 100 goals in 13 games, but second-placed Ponthir AFC have played two fewer matches than the leaders. Holton Road are also in the title mix with an unbeaten record and games in hand, as are Fairwater Reserves in sixth place.
Tlysau Tanygroes Ceredigion League
Made up of just four sides, Aberystwyth University hold the lead but face a major threat from unbeaten Aberystwyth Town Development. Lampeter could still play a role, while Bont remain at the bottom of the table.
