Scotland Women scored three times in an early five-minute spell, as Kirsty Howat featured against China in a 3-2 friendly victory played at Jerez, Spain.

Kirsty Howat chipped the goalkeeper from the side of the box after 10 minutes, before playing in Kirsty Hanson to slot home the second.

Moments after the restart, Howat dramatically doubled her tally by catching the keeper off her line from distance.

Zhang Linyan pulled a goal back past Eartha Comings, then around the hour mark set up Wu Chengshu to further reduce the deficit.

Scotland managed to withstand further pressure from China, but their victory was overshadowed by a late injury to Erin Cuthbert that required a stretcher.
