Scotland Women drew 1-1 with Ukraine at the Estadio Municipal de Chapín in Jerez, Spain, thanks to a very late equaliser from debutant Maria McAneny.
Martha Thomas was played through by Caroline Weir early on, but her shot was saved by goalkeeper Kateryna Samson.
Sophie Howard won a header on the edge of the six-yard box but sent it over the bar, while Kirsty Hanson could not quite reach a cross when well placed.
But in a rare foray forward by Ukraine, a tidy exchange of passes saw Roksolona Kravchuk played through by Yana Kalinina to slot past Sandy MacIver.
Hanson had a chance near the corner of the six-yard box, but Samson was quick to rush out and block the attempt.
The same pair were involved again as the keeper collected a defender’s mishit from Hanson’s cross, before Nicole Kozlova missed an opportunity at the other end.
Lauren Davidson had a great chance to equalise with 10 minutes remaining, but her shot over the onrushing keeper went well wide.
From a Maria McAneny cross Davidson got a header on target but it was at the keeper’s legs, then Erin Cuthbert battled her way into the box and found Weir, but her shot was blocked.

Right at the death, Hanson forced a corner that sparked chaos in the box, with keeper MacIver among those getting a shot off, before McAneny found the back of the net to secure a draw in the friendly fixture.
