Bristol City Women have signed Spanish international midfielder and Champions League winner Vicky Losada from Brighton on a three-year deal.

She has spent the last two years as club captain of Brighton in the Barclays Women’s Super League, making 47 appearances.

Capped 65 times for her country, she won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2021, as well as six Liga F titles in Spain.

Trophies were also lifted by her during spells with Arsenal and Manchester City.

Head coach Charlotte Healy told bcfc.co.uk: “To get a player of Vicky’s calibre shows what we are aiming for, and I am delighted she is here.

“We knew WSL and WSL2 clubs wanted to sign Vicky, so we are really happy that she chose Bristol City. All her experience and talent will help elevate us as a group and we’ve seen that already this week in training.”

Losada said: “It’s a good moment for Bristol City and I want to be a part of it and make this club grow.

“I know what it takes to be part of a winning team, and we want to enjoy the journey too.”
