Crystal Palace Women have signed Belgium international midfielder Justine Vanhaevermaet following her departure from Barclays WSL side Everton.

She joins Palace on a two-year deal, after spending the last four seasons in the Barclays Women’s Super League, the first half of that with Reading.

Vanhaevermaet has 77 caps for her country and played in the last two Women’s Euros.

Manager Jo Potter told cpfc.co.uk: “I’m thrilled to have Justine join the team. She’s a real leader with a proven winning mentality, and her presence will be crucial for us.”

Vanhaevermaet said: “I’ve spoken to the manager and she explained me her ambitions for this season.

“I immediately had a good feeling with her and the style of football she wants to play.”
