
The 2025-26 Regional League season began for three competitions, as Hashtag United Reserves won a game of 11 goals and two red cards.
EASTERN – Eleven goals and two red cards in Essex clash
Premier – Stevenage’s Sarah Wiltshire hit a hat-trick as Harpenden Town were defeated 5-0, Royston Town were 5-2 victors at Watford Ladies Development, Bowers & Pitsea beat Atletico London 4-1. Hutton saw off Enfield Town 3-1, while there were 2-1 results for Dussindale & Hellesdon Rovers at St Albans City and Wroxham over Haringey Borough.
1 North – Biggleswade United put five past Colney Heath, Stevenage Development got four against Thetford Town, Real Bedford Reserves beat Fulbourn Institute Bluebirds 3-0. Dunstable Town’s Eleanor-Rose Rothwell scored the sole goal at Cambridge City, Histon took a 3-1 win at Newmarket Town, Mulbarton Wanderers beating Hitchin Belles 4-2.
1 South – There were 11 goals and two red cards as Hashtag United Reserves posted a 7-4 scoreline over Colchester United, the hosts’ India Shittu and visitors’ Polly Pellow both dismissed. Chelmsford City netted four at Southend United, there were 4-2 away wins for She Can Play Panthers at Stanway Pegasus plus Wormley Rovers at Brantham Athletic aided by a Holly Fox double. Toby FC edged Hertford Town 2-1, Brentwood Town shared six goals with Needham Market.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Nearly 700 see Bromley beaten
Premier – Millwall Lionesses struck twice in stoppage time to draw 3-3 at Ashford Town, there were big away wins for Dartford (7-2 at Newhaven) and Saltdean United (5-0 at Ebbsfleet United). Sutton United sank Sport London E Benfica 6-2, Brentford’s Asees Sangha got the only goal at Aylesford.
1 North – Bromley had a bumper crowd of 683 but went down 5-2 to Hammersmith, Clapton CFC beat Herne Bay 1-0 watched by 181 fans. Camden Town came through 5-1 at Ashford United, AFC Greenwich Borough drew 3-3 at Actonians Reserves.
1 South – Eastbourne Borough’s Charlotte Gurr scored half their goals in an 8-1 success at Montpelier Villa, Steyning Town sent Frimley Green to a 4-0 defeat, while Sevenoaks Town won with a single goal at Hastings United.

NORTH WEST – Seven-goal Fylde reward big turnout
Premier – AFC Fylde had a crowd of 231 for their 7-0 result over West Didsbury & Chorlton, Tranmere Rovers came from behind for a 2-1 win at Bury. Crewe Alexandra came out on top 3-2 at Curzon Ashton, Darwen beat Bolton Wanderers 2-1, Mancunian Unity took the points 1-0 at Fleetwood Town Wrens, likewise Poulton Vics at home to FC United of Manchester.
1 Central – Atherton Laburnum Rovers overcame hosts Pilkington 7-2, Rochdale hit six at Radcliffe where Sophie Coates claimed a treble, FC St. Helens got all four goals at MSB Woolton. Salford City beat Ashton Town away by the odd goal in five, Mossley Hill Athletic were 4-1 winners over Wigan Athletic.
1 North – Grace Flinn got four of Preston North End’s five goals against Chorley Development, Blackpool substitutes Jess Lord and Hannah Wood both scored to beat Penrith 3-2. Bolton Wanderers Reserves won 3-1 versus Workington Town, Fleetwood Town Wrens Reserves defeated Morecambe 2-1, while it finished one apiece between Accrington Stanley and Haslingden.

1 South – Chester fought back from 3-1 down to defeat Runcorn Linnets 5-3, with late efforts from subs Ellie Bradley and Evie Halliwell. Warrington Town were 3-2 victors over Macclesfield after Paige Vanden’s 89th-minute decider, Manchester Laces’ Sabrina Hoysted got the crucial second for a 2-1 win over Wirral Phoenix. Liverpool Feds Reserves rescued a point in a 2-2 tie with AFC Crewe, Nantwich Town conceded early but still stung Altrincham 8-1.
The North East and Southern Leagues kick-off on Sunday 31 August, followed a week later by the East Midlands, South West and West Midlands.
