Jess Fishlock and Nia Jones have been honoured with induction into the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame.

The evening at the Parkgate Hotel in Cardiff was dedicated to honouring the 150th anniversary of the Football Association of Wales.

Jess Fishlock was inducted into the Welsh Sports Hall of Fame as Cymru’s most capped player and first ever centurion.

The attacking midfielder holds Wales’ records of 166 caps and 48 goals and played for the women’s team in their first appearance at a major tournament during last summer’s UEFA EURO finals.

Nia Jones earned her spot in the Hall of Fame as a dual-sport international athlete and broadcaster.

She has played 28 times for her country as a footballer, while also captaining its netball team and competing at two Commonwealth Games and the 2023 Netball World Cup.

Since ending her playing career, Jones has become a regular broadcaster and was part of the BBC teams that covered the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 finals.

Fishlock and Jones joined men’s internationals Brian Flynn, Alan Curtis, and Mickey Thomas in recognition of their achievements, while Dai Davies, Leighton James, and Joey Jones were all honoured posthumously.
