Emilia Pelgander has signed a new two-year deal with Leicester City Women.
The 22-year-old arrived in Leicestershire from Swedish top-flight side KIF Örebro in January 2024 and has made 18 appearances for the Foxes in all competitions, alongside developmental loan spells with FC Rosengård and Danish side HB Køge.
Speaking to LCFC.com, Pelgander said: “I’m very happy to have extended my time with the club. I have enjoyed being back here with the team at Belvoir Drive. My loan spells have been positive, and I feel ready to give this team my best. I want to get better and keep improving for the team.”
A Sweden youth international, Emilia made her senior debut for KIF Örebro in July 2020, becoming the first player born in 2004 to feature in the Damallsvenskan.
She went on to make 84 appearances in all competitions during four years with the club before completing a permanent move to Leicestershire.
The midfielder continued her development during loan spells with FC Rosengård and Danish side HB Køge, before returning to Belvoir Drive ahead of the 2026/27 campaign
