The third CONIFA Women’s World Cup has been announced as heading for the West Midlands next year.
The tournament will feature eight teams and take place from 28 May to 5 June 2027 in Walsall, at a stadium with a capacity of 5,000, hosted by CONIFA member Khalistan FA.
The Confederation of Independent Football Associations’ tournament is for states, minorities, stateless peoples and regions unaffiliated with FIFA.
Sápmi, who have won both previous editions of the competition, represent the Sámi people, who live in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Russia.
