The FA Women’s National League 2026-27 season kicks off this Sunday, 16 August, in a particularly big day for those teams stepping up to the third or fourth tier.

Tier 3 sees promoted Fulham facing former WSL2 side Portsmouth in the Southern Premier Division, while Swindon Town start up a level against a rebuilt Plymouth Argyle team.

Northern Premier Division newcomers Norwich City and Peterborough United begin at home to Huddersfield Town and away at Rugby Borough respectively.

Chesterfield has a side back in the league and start at Barnsley Women in Division 1 Midlands, in which Lye Town make their fourth-tier debut at Sutton Coldfield.

AFC Fylde bounced straight back and begin by hosting Halifax, while Bradford City also resume their league membership on the road at Chorley. Still in Division 1 North, Thornaby face a tough debut at Leeds United.

Dartford play their first-ever Division 1 South East match at home against Dulwich Hamlet, while Saltdean United have a similar experience as Milton Keynes Dons visit, and London Bees host Stevenage’s return to the league.

Torquay United are back in Division 1 South West and will travel to face another regional league champion, Wycombe Wanderers.
