With the conclusion of the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup European qualifying groups, there are so far four nations confirmed as going to Brazil.
League A
Group 1 – Serbia 1-4 Denmark, Sweden 2-2 Italy
Amalie Vangsgaard scored twice as Denmark led Serbia 4-1 by the break to top the table by five points and book their place at the finals. Italy let slip a two-goal advantage in Sweden but still pipped them to second spot.
Group 2 – France 1-0 Republic of Ireland, Netherlands 3-1 Poland
Republic of Ireland couldn’t get the victory they needed in France to win the group, as Brazil-bound Les Bleues instead triumphed with a Melvine Malard goal despite the 72nd-minute dismissal of Thiniba Samoura. The Netherlands secured second place with a 3-1 defeat of Poland, Wieke Kaptein contributing the opening goal and an assist.
Group 3 – England 3-0 Ukraine, Iceland 1-6 Spain
Vicky López scored just five minutes into each half, helping Spain secure a 6-1 win in Iceland and qualify for the World Cup with a far superior goal difference to England. The Lionesses beat Ukraine 3-0 with Jess Carter, Georgia Stanway, and a Beth Mead free-kick finding the net.
Group 4 – Norway 2-1 Austria, Slovenia 0-2 Germany
The first to qualify for Brazil 2027, Germany finished four points ahead of Norway, with Shekiera Martinez on target after a Slovenia own goal. All the goals came in a five-minute spell just after the restart, as Thea Bjelde and Caroline Graham Hansen scored for Norway and Barbara Dunst replied for Austria.
League B
Group 1 – Wales 3-1 Czechia, Albania 5-2 Montenegro
Wales overcame an early setback to beat Czechia 3-1 with goals from Lily Woodham, Gemma Evans, and Mared Griffiths, securing top spot and promotion. Albania were 5-2 winners over Montenegro, who had a player sent off after 21 minutes.
Group 2 – Northern Ireland 1-2 Switzerland, Malta 0-3 Türki̇ye
Türkiye won 3-0 in Malta, but Switzerland stayed three points ahead of them to clinch the group, with Geraldine Reuteler and Smilla Vallotto scoring, although Northern Ireland debutant Emily Cassap made an instant impact from the bench with a consolation goal.
Group 3 – Finland 3-1 Portugal, Latvia 1-2 Slovakia
Finland’s 3-1 victory over leaders Portugal wasn’t quite enough to overhaul them on goal difference. Slovakia secured third place with a late turnaround in Latvia.
Group 4 – Luxembourg 0-7 Belgium, Israel 1-5 Scotland
Scotland edged the goal race with Belgium to narrowly take pole position, featuring a four-goal haul from Caroline Weir against Israel. The Red Flames fell just short despite scoring seven times in Luxembourg, three of those in the last 10 minutes of normal time.
League C
Group 1 – Estonia 1-1 Bosnia and Herzegovina, Lithuania 2-0 Liechtenstein
The top three teams all finished on 11 points, but it’s Lithuania who are promoted after a victory over last-placed Liechtenstein.
Group 2 – Croatia 4-0 Bulgaria, Gibraltar 0-8 Kosovo
Kosovo thrashed Gibraltar to finish as group winners, edging out Croatia on goal difference. Croatia are confirmed for the play-offs as one of the two best runners-up.
Group 3 – Hungary 6-1 Andorra, North Macedonia 1-3 Azerbaijan
Hungary finished with a big win after already clinching first place, while Azerbaijan claimed the runner-up spot with a victory in North Macedonia.
Group 4 – Georgia 2-3 Greece
Greece completed a 100% record but didn’t make it easy for themselves in Georgia, as they conceded two own goals before emerging 3-2 victors.
Group 5 – Cyprus 0-2 Moldova
Moldova’s win in Cyprus gave them second place behind Romania, who had earlier been confirmed as group winners.
Group 6 – Belarus 6-0 Armenia
Three own goals contributed to Belarus’s six against Armenia, as they won the group by two points over Kazakhstan, who secured a spot in the play-offs as one of the two best runners-up.
The Play-Offs
The draw will be made on 18 June, with two rounds breaking down the 32 teams to seven qualifiers, while one more will advance to the intercontinental play-offs.
