The SWPL has confirmed the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League matches selected for broadcast for the final day of the season.
This announcement follows previous confirmation of aligned kick-off times for the top six sides. The games selected for broadcast on BBC ALBA and BBC Sport Scotland are as follows:
- Sunday 24 May Hibernian v Hearts – BBC ALBA, 1.10pm
- Sunday 24 May Glasgow City v Rangers – BBC Sport Scotland, 1.10pm
BBC ALBA will head to Meadowbank to showcase the Edinburgh Derby as Hibernian host Hearts. Eva Olid’s side head into the match knowing a win or draw will see them crowned SPWPL champions for the first time in their history. However, it was Hibernian who grabbed the bragging rights the last time the two sides met, with Joelle Murray’s side claiming a 2-1 victory at Oriam, back in March.
The BBC Sport Scotland cameras will concurrently show Rangers’ trip to Petershill Park to face Glasgow City. Leanne Crichton’s side are fresh from securing a UEFA Women’s Champions League qualification spot, after defeating Celtic 4-0 and can still claim the SPWPL title if they can defeat Glasgow City and should Hearts lose to Hibernian.
