Wales Women Under-19s responded to an own goal by coming from behind to secure a 3-2 victory over the Young Lionesses in a European qualifying group match in Switzerland.
Wales gifted England the lead when goalkeeper Sofia Kelly was unable to get her outstretched boot on a backpass from Madi Rodgers.
But they were swiftly back on level terms as a ball into the box was poked home by Emily Cole.
Nia Davies’ side had turned the game around by the break, as Scarlett Hill fired the ball past goalkeeper Sophie Jackson from the edge of the box.
It was 2-2 early in the second half following a strong run and great through ball by Lauryn Thompson to Eva Hendle, who rounded the keeper to calmly equalise.
The winning goal arrived after 77 minutes, as Cole’s corner was headed home by Hill to complete her brace.
The last group games are at 12pm on Wednesday, 15 April, with hosts and leaders Switzerland playing the Young Lionesses, and Wales facing last-placed Latvia, with only the top side qualifying for the finals.
