Crystal Palace Women defeated the Barclays WSL 2 leaders, while over 10,000 watched the Tyne-Wear derby end in a draw.

Bristol City 0-1 Birmingham City (Att: 1,776)
Crystal Palace 3-2 Charlton Athletic
Nottingham Forest 2-1 Durham (Att: 1,395)
Sunderland 1-1 Newcastle United (Att: 10,156)

Crystal Palace moved within six points of top side Charlton Athletic with a game in hand, after beating them at Selhurst Park. Amalie Thestrup turned the ball home following a corner to give the Addicks the lead approaching the break, only for Hayley Ladd to level in first-half added time. Kirsty Howat scored for the Eagles from a Molly-Mae Sharpe header, and Abbie Larkin added another to give Palace some breathing room. Although Kiera Skeels earned a penalty that Emma Bissell converted for Charlton, the home side claimed the crucial win.

Birmingham City are just three points behind the leaders and also have a game in hand after their victory at Bristol City. Wilma Leidhammar made the breakthrough for Birmingham, assisted by Asato Miyagawa, with 21 minutes remaining.

Over 10,000 saw a draw in the Tyne-Wear derby at the Stadium of Light. Katy Watson of Sunderland slotted home a Marissa Sheva cross to open the scoring. With the clash into the last 10 minutes, Beth Lumsden set up Oona Sevenius to level for Newcastle but they sit three points short of the promotion play-off place.

Nottingham Forest defeated Durham to move up to sevnth spot in the table. Joy Omewa put Forest ahead and Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah doubled their advantage after 20 minutes, with a strike from outside the box. Lily Agg headed Durham back into the match on the half hour mark from a Grace Ayre cross.
