Caroline Weir hit a hat-trick for Scotland Women as they kicked off their World Cup 2027 Qualifiers with a 5-0 victory in Luxembourg.

Weir scored at the second attempt after a corner and following an Erin Cuthbert free-kick, and Jenna Clark headed Scotland 2-0 up inside the half hour.

Cuthbert won a set-piece which Weir stepped up to curl home, and Weir completed her hat-trick when redirecting a strike from Cuthbert inside the post.

Kathleen McGovern took down a Charlotte Newsham ball to smartly round off the scoring in the dying minutes.
