Switzerland beat Northern Ireland Women 2-0 as both nations started their World Cup 2027 qualifying campaigns.

The Swiss led midway through the first half, when Riola Zhemaili scored after a Lia Walti corner was headed back across goal by Sydney Schertenleib.

It was the 91st minute before the hosts confirmed the three points, as Svenja Folmli struck from outside the box.
