Chelsea Women finished the weekend in third place in the Barclays WSL after a 2-0 victory over Spurs in front of 9,356 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Olivia Holdt hit the crossbar in one of several chances on goal for Spurs, but it was Chelsea who scored first, with Keira Walsh’s strike following a corner, beating goalkeeper Liz Kop.

Four minutes into the second half, Alyssa Thompson hooked home a loose ball to double the lead and continue the Blues’ 100% record over Spurs.

The result lifted Sonia Bompastor’s side back above Arsenal after their earlier win and within a point of Manchester United in second place.
