Sofia Jakobsson and London City Lionesses Agree to Part Ways

Sofia Jakobsson has departed from London City Lionesses to join Liga MX club Toluca.

The veteran with over 160 caps for Sweden has an Olympic silver medal and a World Cup bronze.

Her club career has included stints with Chelsea, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and San Diego Wave.

She made 17 appearances for London City since joining in 2024 and scored three goals.

Her new club finished the first half of the Liga MX Femenil season in the top half of the league and are currently sixth in the second part of the campaign.
