West Ham Women have signed full-back Ylinn Tennebø from Norwegian Toppserien club Vålerenga.
The former Norway U-23 international has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract and brings the experience of back-to-back league titles in 2023 and 2024 with Vålerenga, for whom she has made over 100 appearances.
Tennebø told whufc.com: “It’s a really special moment for me and my family as my grandfather, who sadly passed away in 2008, was a big West Ham fan. I wish he could be here to see this.
“My dream was to play in England – I can’t wait to play in the WSL. I have already played some of the teams in the Champions League, and I’m looking forward to the challenge of playing these kind of teams every weekend.”
Head Coach Rita Guiarino said: “Ylinn is a versatile full-back with a fantastic work ethic and technical ability.
“Ylinn has been a consistent performer for her previous club in Norway and in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. I’m sure her experience will give her a solid foundation to excel in the Women’s Super League.”
