Nottingham Forest Women have signed forward Libby Smith from Sporting Club Jacksonville on a deal until the end of the season.

She played a total of 100 games across earlier spells with Leicester City and Birmingham City, and was part of the Foxes’ squad when they earned promotion to the Women’s Super League.

Head Coach, Carly Davies, told nottinghamforest.co.uk: “Libby brings valuable experience from winning this league with Leicester City, and that winning mentality is exactly what we want in this group.

“She has a strong work ethic, and high standards that will push everyone around her. We’re excited to see the impact she’ll have as we continue building something special here.”

Smith added: “I’m delighted to have signed for Forest. It’s such an ambitious club, full of history, so I’m really happy to be here.

“I’m looking forward to being back playing in England. The WSL2 is a really competitive league; I’m excited to get started.”
