Regional Leagues Round-Up: Saltdean United beat title rivals Brentford Women in front of over 4,000 at the G-Tech Community Stadium.

EASTERN – Hashtag Win Top-Two Clash

Premier – Bowers & Pitsea sank Watford Ladies Development 7–0 to move into the top half of the table by virtue of goals scored. Hutton pulled off a 3–2 victory at Haringey Borough to get off the bottom on goal difference.

1 North – Biggleswade United held Real Bedford Reserves to a 0–0 draw to get off the foot of the table on goal difference. Thetford Town earned a good 2–1 result over fourth-placed Dunstable Town.

1 South – Hashtag United Reserves inflicted a first loss upon hosts Chelmsford City (2–0) to replace them at the top. Last-placed Hertford Town drew 0–0 with Brentwood Town, while Wormley Rovers versus Needham Market finished without a goal.

EAST MIDLANDS – University of Nottingham Hit Central Summit

Premier – Loughborough Foxes Vixens are within a point of top side Chesterfield FC after a 2–0 victory at Anstey Nomads. Mansfield Town moved up to fourth with a 5–1 result over SJR Worksop.

1 Central – University of Nottingham edged Asfordby Amateurs 1–0 to sit top of the table, while Basford United were 3–0 winners at Coalville Town.

1 North – Grimsby Town’s 11th win in a row came with a 4–0 victory at Notts County, putting them eight points clear of Arnold Eagles, who went down 4–0 at Cleethorpes Town. Belper Town scored two late goals for a 2–0 result at Lincoln United Development.

1 South – There remains a single point separating the leading pair, after first-placed Newport Pagnell Town left Leicester City LFC with a 2–2 draw. Stanground Sports and Northampton Town Development also finished at two goals apiece, while New Bradwell St Peter came through 4–2 at Thrapston Town, aided by a Cara Brooker double.

League Plate Q-F – Brackley Town will host Gainsborough Trinity in the semi-finals, having pipped Rotherham United 5–4 on penalties following a goalless tie.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Saltdean Win title ‘Six-pointer’

Premier – Brentford had an attendance of 4,346 but were beaten 2–0 by Saltdean United, with Georgia Bridges and Danielle Lane the scorers as the Sussex side moved within three points of the leaders, with as many games in hand. Dartford are also title-chasers and defeated Millwall Lionesses 1–0. Newhaven edged out of the bottom two after a 1–1 tie at Sutton United.

1 North – Camden Town handed Hammersmith a first defeat with the only goal, as Bromley gained ground on the leaders with a 4–0 win over Clapton CFC, featuring a hat-trick from Melanie Espinosa. Results elsewhere were: Actonians Reserves 2-1 Dulwich Hamlet Reserves, Ashford United 5-2 Soccer Elite Football Academy, Hackney 8-0 Richmond & Kew, Herne Bay 5-0 AFC Greenwich.

1 South – Ashmount Leigh are fourth after thrashing Sevenoaks Town 10–0, as Natalie Stephenson netted five and Danielle Boyd three of the goals.

League Cup Q-F – Barking eliminated Leatherhead 2–1 to set up a testing home semi-final with Saltdean.

NORTH EAST – Modernians’ Moorhouse Hits Hat-Trick

Premier – Bradford City ran out 5–1 winners at Wallsend BC, while Thornaby scored three without reply against South Shields. Spennymoor Town went third with a 2–1 defeat of Ossett United, and Sunderland West End drew 2–2 with Harrogate Town.

1 North – Birtley Town beat Washington 3–0 to extend their lead at the top. Stockton Town got all three goals at Wallsend BC Reserves. Berwick Rangers shared six goals with Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves, while Redcar Town pipped Park View by a single goal.

1 South – Leeds Modernians hit Farsley for six, helped by a treble from Mia Moorhouse, to go two points clear of Handsworth, who were held 1–1 at home by Rossington Main. Sheffield Wednesday fought back to beat York City Development 2–1, with the decider from Courtney Kaye. Lower Hopton took the points 2–1 at Ilkley Town, where Abi Housecroft got the winner, while Altofts saw off Millmoor 2–0.

NORTH WEST – FC United Win 10-Goal Cup Thriller

Premier – Mancunian Unity ran out 12–1 winners over Fleetwood Town Wrens, AFC Fylde scored six times at Poulton Vics, and Ava Hanson netted a 26-minute hat-trick in Bury’s 3–1 victory at Bolton Wanderers.

1 Central – Radcliffe suffered their 17th straight defeat in a narrow 3–2 loss to MSB Woolton, with Isabel Davies claiming a decisive treble.

1 North – Accrington Stanley came from a goal down to defeat Preston North End 5-1. Blackpool’s Freya Doyle scored three times in a 6-2 result over Chorley Development, which lifted the Seasiders to second place.

1 South – Manchester Laces moved within three points of second-placed Chester with a 1-0 away win over them. Warrington Town replaced Altrincham in sixth spot, as Jess Carberry grabbed the winner in their 2-1 victory. Runcorn Linnets returned from Macclesfield as 4-1 victors.

Alliance Design & Print League Cup 2nd Rd – Goals galore as FC United of Manchester put out Penrith 6-4, and West Didsbury & Chorlton’s Bethany Wilson bagged a brace in a 4-3 success at Tranmere Rovers.

SOUTHERN – Bournemouth Sports Spring Forward Four Places

Premier – Wycombe Wanderers were held 2-2 at home in the top-two clash with Southampton Women, who were overtaken in the standings by Winchester City Flyers after a 4-0 victory over Sholing. Fleet Town’s Lily Martin scored four goals as they won a nine-goal thriller at Woodley United.

1 North – Denham United’s Brogan Moore scored two of their three goals at Slough Town for an 11th consecutive win of the season. Penn & Tylers Green won 4-1 at Abingdon United Development, while Chesham United Development recorded a 5-1 victory at Ascot United Reserves.

1 South – Farnham Town’s ninth win in a row was a 6–0 victory at AFC Stoneham, Havant & Waterlooville beat Bemerton Heath Harlequins 4–1 to leapfrog them into second. Bournemouth Sports Reserves jumped four places to fourth with a 3–0 result over Shaftesbury, in which Isobel Weatherly scored twice. Andover New Street overtook Bursledon by defeating them 3–1.

Shield Services Group SOUTH WEST – Title-Rivals Mangotsfield and Corsham Draw

Premier – Torquay United picked up the points with a 3-2 win at Gloucester City to move four clear at the top. Sherborne Town beat Pucklechurch Sports 3-0, aided by an Imogen Miller double, to move up to second.

1 North – First versus second finished 1-1 between Mangotsfield United and Corsham Town, with Madeline Elliott scoring five minutes after coming off the bench for the latter. Bath City won 3-1 at AFC Brislington and travel to Bitton this Wednesday, who drew 1-1 away at Gloucester City Reserves.

Division 1 Cup 2nd Rd – Feniton just got the better of Downend Flyers, winning 2–1 with substitute Maisie Harris on the scoresheet. Stockwood Wanderers beat Paulton Rovers 4–0. Weston-super-Mare progressed with a 3–2 victory at Yeovil Town. Royal Wootton Bassett Town had a walkover against Appledore.

WEST MIDLANDS – Long Itchington Stun Droitwich

Premier – Hednesford Town’s 2-0 victory at Alvechurch saw substitute Madison Farley score both goals. Madison Jones bagged a brace as Shrewsbury Town beat Coundon Court 2-1. Port Vale claimed the points with a 2-0 win versus Coventry Sphinx.

1 North – Chasetown’s 6-1 result at Rugby Town featured a 21-minute treble by Karen Harrigan-Clough. Telford Town scored six without reply against Whitchurch Alport. Walsall beat AFC Telford United 3-1, with Mia Fellows scoring twice.

1 South – Long Itchington’s Sarah Smith scored the sole goal in a surprise win away to leaders Droitwich Spa, as Bromsgrove Sporting beat Worcester City Reserves 2-0 to move above them into fourth spot. Crusaders’ Danielle Selmes netted all their goals in a 3-2 win at Hereford Pegasus. Meanwhile, Kingfisher drew 1-1 with Hereford FC, keeping them level on points in the bottom two positions.
