Wrexham Women were 3-1 winners over the Genero Adran Premier leaders at Cardiff City Stadium to gain an advantage in the title race.

Faye Knox fired the visitors ahead in the second half of the Championship Round fixture, with FIFA President Gianni Infantino among the crowd of 1,163.

Mackenzie Olden equalised for Cardiff City, but Katie Barker restored Wrexham’s lead just five minutes later.

Barker then sealed the victory for Wrexham from the penalty spot, with three minutes of the 90 remaining.

The result moves Wrexham within a single point of Cardiff City and with a game still in hand.
