Women’s FA Cup: 11 Clubs Secure Progress on Penalties

Women’s FA Cup First Round Qualifying saw 11 ties decided on penalties, with Islington Borough progressing 7-6 and Arnold Eagles 6-5.

Islington edged past Berkhamsted following a 3-3 deadlock, securing a second successive shoot-out win for Borough, who eliminated East Thurrock 4–3 on penalties in the previous round.

Arnold Eagles came through sudden-death penalties at Corby Steelers, where the 90 minutes had finished goalless.

There was just a solitary goal in it as Plymouth side Signal Box Frankfort knocked out Cornish visitors Kilkhampton.

In this stage of the competition, winning teams get £1,800, while losers take home £450.

The second round qualifying draw will be made on Monday, 7 September.
