
Man City Women abruptly ended Spurs perfect start to the Barclays WSL season, London City Lionesses won away to Everton, Sunderland went top of WSL2.

Manchester City made it two wins from three games when overcoming Spurs on their own ground.
City lost Lauren Hemp to injury after 20 minutes but her team swiftly took the lead, Aoba Fujino getting enough on her strike to beat goalkeeper Lize Kop.
Kop pulled off a save from point-blank range hit by Khadija Shaw, but it was 2-0 when Vivianne Miedema headed Alex Greenwood’s corner over the line.
Kerstin Casparij nodded in a third from Kerolin’s deflected effort before the break.
Clare Hunt brought down Fujino in the area, Shaw stepped up to take the spot kick but Kop saved it.
Grace Clinton came off the bench to make it 4-0 late on with the help of Kerolin, Olivia Holdt pulling back a consolation from distance before Laura Coombs struck for City in added time.

London City Lionesses beat Everton at Goodison Park to claim their first-ever win in the Barclays WSL.
Issy Goodwin fired London City ahead after 13 minutes via the underside of the crossbar.
She netted again 13 minutes into the second half, set up by Nikita Parris following a good forward pass from
Ornella Vignola’s shot was tipped over by goalkeeper Elene Lete, but Jana Fernandez conceded a penalty for bundling over Yuka Momiki who got up to convert from the spot.
Sunderland defeated Durham in a local derby to go top of Barclays WSL2.

Emily Scarr headed the hosts one up when the ball was knocked on by Izzy Atkinson not long after the restart.
Katie Kitching seemed to have sealed the win with a 25-yard rocket, doubling the advantage five minutes from the end of the 90.
It was not quite over though, as Beth Hepple halved the deficit on 88 minutes glancing in a header from a corner.
