West Ham Women’s Selin Cemal has signed her first professional contract with the Hammers through until June 2028.
She has four first-team appearances to date, three to help West Ham reach the Subway Women’s League Cup quarter-finals and her WSL debut which came in a 3-1 victory over Everton in November.
The same month she received her first call-up to the Türkiye U23 squad, then was named in the seniors’ matchday squad for the first time against Albania.
Speaking to West Ham TV, Cemal said: “This is a really proud moment for me and my family. It’s any player’s dream to sign a professional contract so it feels incredible to have signed mine with West Ham.
“There’s still so much work I need to do and put in but I want to continue developing as much as I can and being the best version of myself.”
Head Coach Rita Guarino told whufc.com: “I’m delighted that Selin has signed her first professional contract with us.
“We believe that Selin has a lot of potential and I’m looking forward to supporting her development moving forwards.”
